In 2012, I came to the United States on a student visa with big dreams and a lot of hope.
Everything was new.. the country, the culture, the people, and the way life worked. I was excited, but I was also starting from scratch.
I worked hard, completed my Master’s degree, and believed that degree would open the door to a better future.
But it was not that simple.
Finding a job was hard. I faced rejection after rejection. Months went by, and the pressure started to build. Bills still had to be paid.
Life did not slow down just because things were difficult.
So I worked wherever I could. I kept going. I did what I had to do.
Around that time, I got married and became a father. Life was beautiful, but it was also heavy.
I had a family depending on me, and I wanted to give them security, stability, and a better future.
Eventually, I landed my dream job. For a while, everything felt like it was finally coming together.
I kept working, kept growing, and today I’m blessed with a beautiful family and three kids.
But then the IT industry started changing. Layoffs became more common.
Job security started feeling less certain. Even after all the hard work, education, and experience, I found myself losing sleep at night, wondering what the future would hold.
That season changed me.
I realized I did not want uncertainty to drive my life anymore.
I wanted to take control of my future and build something more secure for my family.
So I started learning again. I developed new skills. I learned how to communicate my value better, how to prepare more effectively, and how to walk into important opportunities with more confidence.
That journey taught me something I carry into real estate today..
